
Xudong Jing
Research Fields: Technology innovation, field development and CO2 geological storage (CCS/CCUS)
Dr. Xudong Jing FREng is a senior energy expert with more than 30 years of international experience in technology innovation and engineering leadership gained in both academia and industry. He has been leading global efforts to improve hydrocarbon recovery while minimizing greenhouse gas emissions including energy-efficient enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and CCS/CCUS. Prior to his industry assignments with international and national energy compnaies, Dr. Jing worked in the Faculty of Engineering at Imperial College London where he is currently a visiting professor. He has served on the executive committees of numerous international societies and regularly given invited keynote speeches. Dr. Jing is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng), Fellow of the Energy Institute (FEI), Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) and a Chartered Engineer (CEng). He is a recipient of the Darcy Award for distinguished technical achievements from the Society of Core Analysts (SCA) and a Distinguished Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). Dr. Jing has recently been appointed a professor at Nanjing University.
