Luke Logan is an accomplished Engineering & Technology leader and senior executive with significant experience leading 3 of the United Kingdom’s foremost Engineering centred businesses. Luke’s pivotal roles have included Chief Engineer Civil Aerospace (Rolls-Royce), Engineering & Delivery Functions Director (BAE Systems – Air Sector) and Engineering Director Power & Industrial (Weir Group). His experience has seen him lead large global technical teams and supply-chain activity to deliver ground-breaking products and services. Of particular note was his leadership of the Rolls-Royce Trent 900 Engine which powered the entry-into-service of the Airbus A380 Superjumbo. Now operating as an independent consultant and advisor; Luke leverages his over 35 years of cross-sector industrial experience to support a range of technology businesses to develop their operational, capability, service and product capabilities to secure both growth and resilience. In addition, he coaches and advises a range of executives, emerging leaders and start-up founders. Luke has a passion for collaboration, through-life engineering, systems engineering and supports organisations to create inclusive and adaptive leadership culture. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Royal Aeronautical Society. He is the Chair of both the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Award Committee and The University of Leicester School of Engineering Industrial Advisory Board.
