诸自强教授是英国谢菲尔德大学顶级教授,英国皇家工程院院士,美国IEEE学会会士,英国IET学会会士,中国电机工程学会会士,中国电工技术学会会士,和IET EPA杂志主编。荣获2021 IEEE尼古拉特斯拉奖和2019 IEEE工业应用学会杰出成就奖。
诸自强教授是国际领先的谢菲尔德大学电机和驱动研究团队负责人(2008-),谢菲尔德西门子风电研发中心创建主任(2009-)、美的上海和谢菲尔德电机和驱动控制研发中心创建主任(2010-),谢菲尔德中国中车电气传动技术研究中心创建主任(2014-),谢菲尔德中国新能源汽车国创中心电驱动技术研究中心创建主任(2022-)。 主要从事新型永磁电机和先进控制关键技术的基础和应用研究,包括电气化交通(电动车、高铁、多电飞机)、海上风力发电、家用电器和自动化系统。开发的技术被英国、德国、法国、丹麦、日本、美国和中国等国家的工业界(包括劳斯莱斯、西门子、丰田、日产、法莱奥、中国中车、美的等)广泛采用并商业化。 申请和发表200多项发明专利,发表8本专著和编辑著作、近1500篇学术论文,被广泛引用(根据2023年斯坦佛大学全球2%顶尖科学家,为电机领域最球第一)。共指导了43名博士后、101名已毕业博士生、以及16名联合培养博士生。
Professor Zi-Qiang Zhu is Fellow of Royal Academy of Engineering (UK), Fellow of IEEE (USA), Fellow of IET (UK), and Fellow of Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering and China Electrotechnical Society (China). He is the Editor-in-Chief of IET EPA, and the recipient of the 2021 IEEE Nikola Tesla Award and the 2019 IEEE Industry Applications Society Outstanding Achievement Award.
Since 1988 he has been with The University of Sheffield where he is currently a Top-Band Professor. Since 2008 he has been Head of Electrical Machines and Drives Research Group - an international leading group in its field. Professor Zhu is Director of four research centres, including Sheffield Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Research Centre (2009-), Midea Electrical Machines and Control Systems Research Centres (2010-), Sheffield CRRC Electric Drives Technology Research Centre (2014-), and Sheffield NEVC Electric Powertrain Technology Research Centre (2022-).
His research interests and experience include the fundamental and applied research on novel electrical machines and control systems for various applications, ranging from electrified transportations (electric vehicles, fast trains, more electric aircrafts), through wind power generation, to domestic appliances, industrial drives and automation components and systems etc., which have been commercially exploited extensively by the global industries including Siemens, Midea, Toyota, Nissan, Valeo, Rolls-Royce, and CRRC etc.
He has authored/co-authored >200 invention patents, ~1500 journal/conference papers which have been extensively cited. According to 2023 Stanford University-World Ranking of Scientists (2%), he is the number 1 in electrical machines and control systems, and the number 7 in electrical and electronic engineering. He has supervised 43 post-doctor research associates, 101 graduated PhD students, and 16 joint PhD students.
